My First Content Day in Northern Utah – A Grateful Recap

Wow—where do I even begin?

Hosting my very first content day up in northern Utah was an unforgettable experience. It was equal parts magical, stressful, and incredibly rewarding. I’m honestly still riding the high from the day and feeling so beyond grateful for the opportunity to bring creatives together in such a beautiful space (even if the weather had other plans for us!).

This day wouldn't have been possible without my incredible co-hosts, Ashley and Lexi. These two women are absolute powerhouses. From brainstorming the vision to problem-solving every curveball thrown our way, they were there every step of the journey. They kept me grounded, organized, and—let’s be real—kept me from having a full-blown mental breakdown when things got chaotic. I couldn’t have asked for better people to build this with.

Let’s talk about the chaos for a second. We had vendors canceling last minute, unexpected snow the day before the shoot, and freezing temps that made everyone question our life choices for a hot minute. But despite all of that, the day turned out better than I could have imagined.

We planned five unique concepts for this content day, each one with its own distinct vibe and creative spark:

  • A cozy picnic date session, perfect for capturing sweet, candid moments.

  • A nostalgic vintage bridal session that felt straight out of an old love story.

  • A stunning solo bridal setup, empowering and romantic all in one.

  • Headshot swaps to help our fellow photographers update their portfolios and connect.

  • And finally, a dreamy, editorial-style “slow life” laundry shoot that brought warmth and charm despite the cold.

And let’s not forget the piano bridal setup—one of the most breathtaking moments of the day. Huge shoutout and thank you to our husbands, who somehow found themselves dragged into this adventure and carried a piano into an open field. Absolute legends. This content day really became a team effort, and we are so grateful for their support (and muscles).

Despite the cold, the incredible women who attended didn’t complain once. They showed up ready to shoot, create, collaborate, and lift one another up. Their energy made all the stress worth it. Watching everyone pour their hearts into these concepts and walk away with beautiful content and connections was everything I had hoped for—and more.

To everyone who came out, thank you. Your kindness, creativity, and resilience made this experience unforgettable. And to Ashley and Lexi—thank you from the bottom of my heart. I truly couldn’t have done this without you.

Here’s to many more content days (hopefully with a little less snow and maybe fewer pianos next time)!
